Open Sew Night in Ovilla

Sewing To Help.

At our "Open Sew" Night here at First Cutting Room in Ovilla, Texas, we participate in local, regional, national and international outreach programs. Our August 2011 Sewing Outreach was devoted to Little Dresses for Africa.org. Next month we will find another worthy cause.

Our "Open Sew" night is not just about Big Projects. Our "Open Sew" night is your chance to join a loving, friendly, supportive group of your neighbors in sewing. Whether you use it as an opportunity to set aside time to finish neglected projects, learn from others on "How to's" to finish those UFO's (Un-Finished Objects). Sewing with friends in a warm environment is a great way to relax and find time to enjoy the love of sewing.

Our newest mission sewing outreach program that is called "Little Dresses for Africa" - a national organization that which provides relief to the children of Africa. Simple dresses are made out of pillow cases and distributed through the orphanages, churches and schools in Africa to plant in the hearts of little girls that they are worthy!
littledressesforafrica.org is sponsored in part by Nancy Zieman and her Creative Kindness program. Learn more at Nancy Zieman & Little Dresses For Africa.

Check our Calendar for upcoming "Open Sew" Nights. We hope you will join Us!
